The context

Swiss Aeropole is the entity in charge of Payerne Airport, a business airport. It also manages a technology park comprising around thirty companies specializing in aerospace.

After multiple meetings with its management to understand the company's needs, it was decided to rebuild the website on a clean foundation. This new version of the website provides more clarity regarding the distinct roles of the Swiss Aeropole and Payerne Airport entities.

The approach

A few notes about the project

  • A project completed while I was still employed at a communications agency.
  • The site was outdated, so it was entirely rebuilt on a new technical foundation.
  • Swiss Aeropole is the entity in charge of Payerne Airport.
  • The Swiss Aeropole and Payerne Airport websites were built on the same foundation for practical advantages.
  • The first Swiss technology park specializing in aerospace and related industries.
  • Companies based there can easily collaborate, and access the 2.8km runway as well as the conference rooms.

Industry trends

Graphic design in this field often adopts a minimalist style, reflecting the high technology associated with the aerospace sector. Clean lines, simple icons and modern color palettes are favored to create an aesthetic that is both professional and forward-looking. Digital marketing relies heavily on visual content and video to convey complex information in an engaging way. Explainer videos, client testimonials and interactive presentations are frequently used.

Final thoughts

Duplicating the same technical and visual foundation for both sites was a new process for me that I found interesting, and it let me focus mainly on content input.
